How much do you charge for youth to participate in the New Cumberland Patriot Camp?Nothing. Patriot Camp is free to all campers. Our volunteers donate their time and most of the teaching and craft materials and snacks. HOWEVER, as you can imagine, we are extremely appreciative of donations from parents and local businesses/organizations to help offset costs.
How many campers attend your camp? We close registration at or just over 60 youth participants. Registration typically fills quickly because the children and parents love the program and return year after year.
What are the ages of the youth who attend Patriot Camp? Children must have completed Kindergarten and may participate as a camper through the summer after completing 5th grade.
Where did you get the curriculum for Patriot Camp? Each year our core committee meets to brainstorm and choose themes and topics; we research and develop the curriculum ourselves. The original Patriot Camp curriculum, created in 2010, was obtained through Constitutional Champions Foundation.
Who are the Leaders? Today, the New Cumberland Patriot Camp is lead by community volunteers, your friends and neighbors who want to ensure a bright future for their children and grandchildren. They have a strong desire to share the extraordinary history of America and foster a sense of patriotism and respect for our country in the next generation.
Where does Patriot Camp meet? Thank you to New Cumberland Borough Council for the use of the New Cumberland Borough Park, [200-299] Front St., New Cumberland, PA 17070. Each day we start in the large pavilion and rotate to different stations throughout the park.
